A little free advice, if you have to travel overland by boat for 5 days, Pay the extra R$30. Instead of my own rrom with a bed and sheets, sink and electrical outlet, I was crammed with 150 other people on the back of the boat. We slept less than a foot from each other and everytime the captain got drunk, my hammok would swing into the pole next to me and then back into this poor 70 year old grandmother. Needless to say, I wasnt the most popular person on a the boat. I broke out in hives, stared endlessly into the jungle, and developed a distaste for the sun.
But other than that it was a good experience.
Yesterday I arrived in Natal, a city I had visited once and I am happy beyond words to return to. Im staying with a Capoeira master which makes me giddy and I have been promised enough work to take me up until I get home. I will upload pictures soon but for now I will just keep you updated on my state of mind. Now if only I can figure out how to use the emoticons.
A question for anyone paying attention:
What is freedom?
